2025: Week 1

As we enter the second of 2025, at Fairplay we know that our supporters want to hear more about how our Scholars and players and families are doing. So we thought it a good idea to begin a weekly notice to celebrate our wins together. Welcome to Fairplay Fridays!

For our first Fairplay Friday we are happy to announce six of our players at Payatas FC have earned Varsity Scholarships for College.

When we first started Payatas FC back in 2011, we dreamed of giving a fair chance to kids in our community. For our sports program, that meant being able to support kids to get into College, earn Varsity Scholarships, and even play for the National Team. Now, 14 years later, that dream is a reality in our community.

With over 250 players year-round, developing 10+ coaches per year from the community, and with now 20+ SHS/College Scholarships, Payatas FC is building momentum. For us, this was always more than a game. It was a team, an identity, and hope for a future.

Your support throughout the years has enabled each individual to have that chance. Over the next few weeks, we will be introducing you to the six latest players to earn College Scholarships and telling a bit of their stories as they embark on this next exciting chapter.

For this week, let’s celebrate the wins!!

Carlo, April, and Camille have earned futsal scholarships to the University of Makati.

JL, Russel, and Mianel have earned futsal scholarships to the Polytechnic University of hte Philippines, ranked as the second best government College in the Philippines.

They join the SEVEN Fairplay Scholars & Payatas FC players who earned Senior High School and College football/futsal scholarships last school year, and all our other amazing scholars who now have Scholarships to the University of the Philippines, FEU, PUP, and more.
